Overload of Bikes and Miracles 1-5-2025
Family friends loved ones oh what a fantastic new year it is! 2025 was a trip. I wouldn't trade it for the world though 2025 for me and im sure many others could be summed up in one verse... It'd probably be Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
It's been a hard year but my testimony of the Gospel and the lessons I have learned are invaluable. I am excited to take on a new year with lots in store for 2026!
This past week was something of miracle! Tuesday we had President interviews and district council so our day was shot absolutely barely any time to find. Wednesday was new years eve and we had some runs we had to make and we had to be home by 6 so boom another day shot!
Thursday was new years day and we had to drive on the far end of the mission to give a companionship some bikes and boom! Another day shot we got stuck outside our area longer than I anticipated and would have liked. Friday similar situation it started to bug me and I was itching to do some missionary work. We basically had found no friends or really made any progress in our area.
Saturday was the day it was time. I was so inspired and motivated to do the work. I haven't had a truly 100 percent full day of prosseliting since I was called to the Office. Now was the time we had an exchange and I was with a green missionary who is basically my twin. We are both 20 born on the same day. Both 3/4 brothers and even had the same towel. The spirit desired for me to hope to instill faith humility and diligence in this young missionary and wow there were so many miracles! In the morning we stopped by some people church and if they didnt answer we called. We stopped by referrals, people taught in the past and so on. We called bishop asking what members we can stop by and he gave us a list. After lunch we did the do and reported back to him on all the people we stopped by. While stopping by the members we saw miracles! I told this Elder look...because we tried our best we can trust that God will provide and take care of the rest! That's exactly what happened. We knocked doors talked to people and nothing happened....Or so it seemed. We got 3 referrals in 1 day. We church confirmed a person and they actually came! We met a Turkish guy who gave us orange juice when I was craving it and he came to church and got fellowshipped! We also had 3 really nice bikes donated to us. Wow just wow. That's only scratching the surface. Sunday in order to hit our weekly goals we needed just 1 more freind and 1 person on date to be baptized. We stopped by a referral that we got and he was ready to receive the Gospel. Such a spirit filled contact and he is now on date to be baptized! This was a powerful weekend for me one that brought Joy. I love missionary work! I love the office too but man I do miss full time.
Right now our mission has 20 bikes now in storage and we are receiving 5 more. Bikes are everywhere and we don't have room in storage or out truck. There are currently some in my apartment right now and it's all a mess. We are blessed to have this mess but let's just say next week we are slammed but I still have the faith to baptize and fulfill my missionary purpose because this isn't my work. It's God's work
