Mountains of Discipleship 1-19-2025

Ahh my dear family and friends! How truly you are loved and needed! You are each important and are here for a purpose. For that I am grateful. I am grateful for all of the blessings that has been given to me and those yet to come as well as those I have neglected to recognize. I am grateful for the Atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His infinite meekness in traversing and trodding the wine press alone. I am forever grateful for the difficult path of discipleship we must all walk for the gate and the path is narrow, but prepared for those who walk it. That is what I wish to focus on this week. My mission is not a 2 year mission. There is endless opportunity for Joy in the lord's service. For the past little bit I have been focusing intently on preparing myself in all that I do and allowing God to shape me for fully into the man that He has set me out to become. I have been trying to refine my Discipline/Discipleship and climb my mountains. I love this years theme for the strength of youth. "Walk with me" There is power in that. We get to walk with the greatest who has ever walked this earth and be called His "disciples" His "Friend's" and we get to climb Mountians with Him! This transfer we have received 20 new bikes as a mission which is unheard of! We usually are short on bikes and they are all junk but these new bikes are great quality and they keep coming! We have had a lot of work shifting the bike pool throughout the mission and creating a system. In the process we have also driven the trailer and moved apartments. These next 3 weeks we have 3-4 more apartments we are moving! This past week we had zone conference and then a meeting with some of the mission Presidency and the projects and things we want to push out to the mission to elevate our performance! They ate it up and we should have some good stuff coming up! We also have MLC next week where we will get a sustaining vote on these projects. This past week I also exchanged with and Elder I have been on 3 exchanges with in the past! Busy busy! There are miracles every day without a doubt. Right now we are teaching someone from Bolivia and Turkey and have a couple cook prospects coming up! Our Nigerian friend went back to Africa for three months so we got him an electric scooter we were trying to get rid of and he was so happy haha. God is good and he is blessing this area and this mission. We have a Spanish stake being created February 1st and it will be the first one east of the Mississippi! In 1908 there was just 12 members in all of the DC Area and they were despised and rejected for a bit. Now I can't even acccount for all the growth that is occurring in DC area! Life is good the work is hard and I am grateful. Here are some quotes that have stuck out to me recently this week.. “A Disciples Journey” If we are serious about our discipleship, Jesus will eventually request each of us to do those very things which are most difficult for us to do.”48 And so, he said, “sometimes the best people . . . have the worst experiences . . . because they are the most ready to learn.”49 Christ also invites us to grow from servant to friend to God’s son or daughter—and then we are joint heirs with Christ. Then we will receive all that the Father hath and be all that the Father is. Shout-out to Ila! She got her mission call and will forever be blessed to serve! God lives in the MTC 7-22-2024

 Wow, what an experience I absolutely love it down here. So far I have started almost every journal entry by stating, today was awesome. Everyday I have felt the spirit while simultaneously laughing so hard my district might think something is wrong with me I am in a trio companionship which is a little hard sometimes but I love them both and God knows I need both of them to keep me in check and to love them in different ways. The day I left I was blessed to have some random sweet old couple pick me up from the Salt Lake Airport and drive me to the Provo MTC because I could not figure out how to find the train system and that made my mom happy to know I had someone taking care of me. Welcome to the psych ward! 8-12-2024

  Eldersss, Sistersss Friends, and family I am just gonna start off by saying this was a Rollercoaster of a week. We had some highs some lows and some unusuals.  The week started off awesome after P-day that Monday we went knocking and this guy let us in turns out he has met with missionary's before and already knew the whole doctrine of Christ and has a testimony of it and prays everyday and listens to the book of Mormon every day and we both felt prompted to invite him to be baptized!! Turns out he was previously on probation and that's why he was taught everything but wasn't baptized he will need first presidency approval and will need to show commitment since being off poral so pray for him. His name is Daniel and he is really wanting to be baptized and I want to help him get there.  This week I also got to teach a super sweet 8 year old girl the doctrine of baptism and her family is nonmember but super supportive and I was able to help her pray to her father in heave...

Wow what a Wednesday! 10-7-2024

   Monday was pretty good for P-day we just played basketball in the inner-city got a fresh cut and ate some good stuff not much happening      Tuesday we had the most out of pocket lesson ever it was low-key an L day I don't even know what happened  first off we didn't have district council so it threw off our whole day and we ended up meeting someone named miss juicy that was fun haha but what was actually wild was our lesson with Marqui so Marqui super cool guy been reading the Book Of Mormon and praying with us called us up and we had a lesson with him. We shared a scripture in Moroni and the word Israel was mentioned and he just starting ranting about 5 percenters and the Hebrew Israelites and started warning us about them and he just went off about it forever. Bro pulled up a YouTube video of them bashing random Christians off the street and he was just rambling. Then bro starting talking about Gay propaganda and how everything is Gay now an...
