"Life Offers You Two Precious Gifts" 11-3-2025
Well well well... another week went by and there was a lot of Good in it! I just want to express my love to all of you! I hope yall had a good Halloween wether in the field or back at home I hope all is well and I express my love and gratitude! Let's break it down.
This past week was one filled with the spirit! We had 2 visiting General Authorities Elder Mathew Holland and Elder Cuvelier who recently spoke in General Conference. I also had the opportunity to go on an exchange with an Elder from Australia. It was filled with the spirit and brought about more conversion to Jesus Christ! We have had similar experiences on our mission and it was nice to relate and stay up late and chat for a bit. Each exchange I am humbled as I minister to the one and feel of the spirit and receive revelation on how to meet the needs of each missionary I exchange with. Each exchange is precious to me. I learn so much as I learn from them and teach them correct principles governed by the spirit. Im return as I teach I learn. That is just one of the many blessings that come from turning outward.
During our mission tour the spirit was so strong. All of the questions all of my fears and anxietys and late night prayers were answered not in a way I would've thought, but through a confirmation of the spirit, not by what these Area 70s explicitly said, but what I felt. Oh what a joy! I think one thing Heavenly Father wanted me to learn the most was Who I am and Who I have the potential to become. There is a saying..."When you come to find out who you truly are, you become unstoppable and nothing is impossible"! I can add my witness to that. Each of us have so much potential so much! Each of us are blessed beyond measure! Truly one of my favorite things as a missionary is ministering to other missionaries and helping them see who they can become! Each exchange, each accountability call, each companion, each missionary who is struggling or not struggling I have been able to see their worth and potential. Imagine if we all saw ourselves that way. The world would be a world full of peacemakers, there would be hope, no one would be selfish, pride wouldn't exist! These are the blessings of living a celestial life because truly we all have the capacity to be celestial! Only in and through Jesus Christ and His Holy Merits is this possible!
Yet even with this knowledge reality can be daunting... Constant attacks from the adversary and a fallen world can make things difficult, but oh but what a beautiful plan God has for us! This is why we are asked to be meek and lowly of heart, so that we may take the Saviors yolk upon us and learn of Him and become who we are Destined to Become! We cannot bear the burdens of this life alone and we mustn't do so! That is why we have a savior! We cannot live life on our own and expect to be happy. So with that let us all Keep our Eyes on Christ and take up our cross daily and follow Him!
As I have pondered I have came to learn that our Temple Covenants give us vision of who we are to become as we strive to our best ability to keep them. We are given a glimpse of our Identity as Sons and Daughters of God. Our Covenants help is pattern our lives to live celestial and follow the savior. They provide a road map to the savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. They provide us confidence in the Savior and give us assurance of a life full of Blessings. Without Temple covenants we would never really truly come to know who we are, or who we have the potential to become!
For Halloween we were stuck in the apartment from 5-9 so we did studies and called people all evening. I felt impressed to read with my companion D&C 138. I will never forget the Joy I felt as I watched my companion realize His potential and role in God's plan...Because Life offers us two precious Gifts, time and freedom of Choice! Let us Consencrate ourselves.
36 Thus was it made known that our Redeemer spent his time during his sojourn in the world of spirits, instructing and preparing the faithful spirits of the prophets who had testified of him in the flesh;
37 That they might carry the message of redemption unto all the dead, unto whom he could not go personally, because of their rebellion and transgression, that they through the ministration of his servants might also hear his words.
38 Among the great and mighty ones who were assembled in this vast congregation of the righteous were Father Adam, the Ancient of Days and father of all,
39 And our glorious Mother Eve, with many of her faithful daughters who had lived through the ages and worshiped the true and living God.
40 Abel, the first martyr, was there, and his brother Seth, one of the mighty ones, who was in the express image of his father, Adam.
41 Noah, who gave warning of the flood; Shem, the great high priest; Abraham, the father of the faithful; Isaac, Jacob, and Moses, the great law-giver of Israel;
42 And Isaiah, who declared by prophecy that the Redeemer was anointed to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that were bound, were also there.
43 Moreover, Ezekiel, who was shown in vision the great valley of dry bones, which were to be clothed upon with flesh, to come forth again in the resurrection of the dead, living souls;
44 Daniel, who foresaw and foretold the establishment of the kingdom of God in the latter days, never again to be destroyed nor given to other people;
45 Elias, who was with Moses on the Mount of Transfiguration;
46 And Malachi, the prophet who testified of the coming of Elijah—of whom also Moroni spake to the Prophet Joseph Smith, declaring that he should come before the ushering in of the great and dreadful day of the Lord—were also there.
55 I observed that they were also among the noble and great ones who were chosen in the beginning to be rulers in the Church of God.
56 Even before they were born, they, with many others, received their first lessons in the world of spirits and were prepared to come forth in the due time of the Lord to labor in his vineyard for the salvation of the souls of men.
57 I beheld that the faithful elders of this dispensation, when they depart from mortal life, continue their labors in the preaching of the gospel of repentance and redemption, through the sacrifice of the Only Begotten Son of God, among those who are in darkness and under the bondage of sin in the great world of the spirits of the dead.
I love you all so much! Have a great week and hit me up! I love hearing from yall!
Stay Sweet-Elder Williams
