I saw a linedrive!! Oh and the Prophet spoke 4-7-2025
This past week has been absolutely amazing and filled with so many fun times!
Monday we went and rode our bikes down to the southern part of our area from 6-9 like usual it's where most of our finding is and we ended up getting hit by a huge rainstorm and we got dumped on. It was a 20 minute bike ride in just pure down pour and heavy wind speed it was like Nephi tied up on the boat getting pounded by the heavy rain storm it was crazy. We got cooked.
That next day my phone would not charge because it got jacked up due to the rain but the issue resolved itself a few days later haha. Tuesday we had an emergency all mission zoom call where our mission president just re-emphasized some standards on staying safe and reminders of some protocols. Totally was not expecting that but he shared some spiritual stuff I really appreciated and helped me alot. We had district council and zone accountability and it's always been hard this transfer but this specific Tuesday I felt I was called to district lead this district. One of the Elders I struggled with opened up and was able to talk about his struggles. Those same very struggles are the very lessons I learned the past two transfers as I was in the refiners fire and it shows God's perfect plan and how people are put in eachothers paths for a reason. I see this time in time again in my life as I draw strength from others and grow in the knowledge of God and be apart of someone's journey and have then be apart of mine.
We also had a miracle of a lesson where we found a guy who Is just so prepared he already knew the plan of salvation and has read the Book Of Mormon. We taught him powerfully covenants and extended a date but he didn't accept. He is YSA so we won't be teaching him further but such a cool miracle.
Wednesday we just worked hard and talked to everyone and ended up biking a lot. Not a whole lot came to pass we had a member meal that ended at like 8 so we took what little time we had left and just biked down south to find and then biked back up. Not every day is that deep. Unfortunately my phone was broken that day somehow it was at 1 percent plugged unto a portable charger for 10 hours not charging or dying.
Thursday was awesome we had an amazing lesson with our freind Henry on date for April 13th and we taught him every single commandment and he was either already following it or was excited to follow it. Never have I seen a man more prepared by God it's so humbling to see when all of my friends on date in previous areas end up being a dog fight with to get baptized. We had youth night that day as well and they did some sort of amazing race that was symbolic of the covenant path and it was so fun to just be with the youth and get to know them more. We even had one of them join in on a lesson and bear testimony during the middle of the activity with our friend over the phone. We almost got stuck in the middle of nowhere the activity was far from our house and it ended late so we had to have the zoneleaders come and pick us up.
Friday was an interesting day we had a lesson with 5 people from Egypt who did not speak a lick of English. They are asylum people and it was cool to have a lesson over Google translate and the spirit was there but it was just hard. We went to Safeway again and talked to all the people in the parking lots again and we actually found a cool friend! She ended up being a ysa refferal but I just think it's so cool and funny to preach the Gospel in a Safeway parking lot.
Saturday was such an amazing day Gosh I love general conference. I had so many personal questions and was quite literally thirsty for more spiritual light and knowledge and boom the heavens were opened literally the first session was just so powerful I was taken aback. We watched the afternoon session with our friend Henry on date and that was really cool he is progressing well. Between the afternoon session and evening session on Saturday we had legit 20 minutes to spare so we rode our bikes to a place we have never been and started knocking doors and boom we meet a guy who's best friend just posted general conference on his Instagram story and so we taught him about Prophets and invited him to watch it and he was so down. Miracles!!!!
Sunday was just a beautiful day to be alive I'm gonna be honest. We had a huge pre conference brunch with like 5 family's from the ward and the food was so delicious and we just hung out with the youth for a bit but what was really cool is on the way there, there was a baseball game and we sat and watched an at bat and he smashed a line drive down the left field line to the fence it was so awesome. Then again general conference was so amazing just soaking in all this personal revelation. I had a couple really personal questions that was answeres either directly or through the spirit and that is just so powerful to me wow. We then had a Bible class with all of the youth and it was so fun and so spiritual. We talked about endurance and daily repentance, really hitting hard on the worth we have as children of God and it was powerful. I love Jesus
Just about every night my companion and I just talk to eachother about deep spiritual stuff and our struggles it really is a special time just where him and I yap at eachother and It's been so nice. He is really able to help me out I feel like this transfer has been a period where I can really focus more on my relationship with Christ and come to know myself in a better way. This past transfer I have really been more refined and have seen more of who God wants me to be and he has also helped me see the divine potential in my companion and it's been so powerful...
God loves each and every single one of us and he has blessed us with unuiqe gifts and talents and given us great worth. He asks us to use them and magnify them and see our worth, not to compare with others but to Glorify God and bless his children.
One of my favorite scriptures which was quoted in conference...
D&C 88:33 For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift
I love you all please feel free to reach out and remember to "Stay Sweet"-Elder Williams
