The Word of God 11-25-2024

Yooo Monday was hectic least restful pday but it was good. We went to a sus Masonic temple which was kinda cool but super wack. For some reason we had to deal with Elder drama within the zone the whole pday and it was just stupid but besides that when we went back at it from 6-9 we had a huge miracle. We stopped by an older lady's house named Joyce that we found 2 months ago and knocked, and this was not part of our original schedule. She opened the door and invited us in so we did just that.... Turns out she has a daughter who is a member but she knows nothing about our church or the Book of Mormon. We get to talking and the spirit directs to talk about Prophets for some reason so we did just that and it resonated really well with her....later on she explained how she doesn't know why she opened the door and let us in. 1 because she doesn't know us, and 2 she has heavy anxiety and never leaves the house. She says she felt like she needed to let us in. I told her.."Your father in heaven has a message he wants to tell you",and she Just started Crying... The spirit is so amazing this is truly God's work I legit did nothing the whole lesson was truly inspired....Heavenly Father doesn't only have a message for her he has a message for all of us. Find out what it is..pray read the scriptures and go to Church Tuesday was pretty adventurous. I started off the Morning with a phonecall from a guy named Emmanuel in Libera Monrovia over facebook and got to teach him a twenty minute lesson on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Baptism it was awesome. He has a relative who is a bishop and he asked if i could call him tomorrow and teach him more. Im gonna get that super sweet refferal for the libera mission. Shoutout to Gus one day its gonna be you. We went back to that lady's house who fed us African rice and another dude opened the door and let us in, never met the man I swear people in that house just keep showing up haha. Besides that we got to know him and he low-key thought we came to read the Bible with him but we introduced him to the Book Of Mormon instead and taught him what it was. He basically only read the King James version of the Bible and didn't associate with any other religious books but he agreed to read 3rd Nephi 11 with us so we did just that. Never have I ever seen the spirit teach someone so quickly of the truthfulness of the Book Of Mormon...after reading about Jesus Christ showing himself and ministering to the people in the ancient America's and Jesus Christ's Doctrine, he came to understand all of it and the spirit brought to remembrance of scriptures in the Bible that prophecy of the Book Of Mormon and Jesus Christ's ascension and Resurrection and many other things. After feeling the spirit and reading the Book of Mormon he bore witness that this Book was the Book that the ancient prophet Isaiah talked about and that it completed the Bible and he even admitted the Bible had a sense of incompletion. He then committed to reading the Book Of Mormon and he was also even able to recognize that God continues to call prophets even in this dispensation. Bro is finna gonna get baptized hopefully with proper authority here soon. Wednesday was a grindddd.. it was fire though we had Red Cross and it was good as always had a super productive morning and followed up with our friend Joyce. She called us out of the blue which never happens as a Missionary and she just wanted to let us know she like the scriptures and she was excited for us to come over top ten things that rarely happen as a Missionary we also followed up with our boy Anthony from Africa and he said similar stuff👀👀 We are cooking right now the grind is crazy we were out of the apartment from 8:30am-8pm because he had dinner at 8 and lunch was during service haha. We also had a great phone call lesson with someone from Ethiopia who we got to teach about the Book Of Mormon and she seemed impressed that we had a copy in Amharic for her to read I have been real tired recently but sometimes you just gotta go and do and you will be blessed for it no doubt about it. Granted it's still hard but the scripture in the Bible Philippines 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" has never been so real and its always nice to remember Jesus Christ was Joyful even when he was tired and ministering he was still able to have fun as well and we are here on this earth to walk by faith and have Joy through Christ. Hoowee Thursday was wild, we did a comp Study by the river and then bang bang bang had the two most elect lessons of my life one of which was the lady who we stopped by Monday and turns out she read the Book of Mormon listened to the talk from the Prophet. She loved it all and thanks to the spirit we were promoted to talk about covenants and Joy....it was so powerful she started crying again and she told us she never cries. We then invited her to be baptized in January and she was so down God is so Good he wants all of his children to have joy The second lesson we had was immediately after was with the same guy we had a lesson with on Tuesday and bro read the scriptures we left him, understood all of it, and then continued to bear testimony to us how true the Book Of Mormon is and to never stop believing that it is the word of God and always stand for it. This is the same guy who just two days ago only believed in the Bible and nothing else. This guy memorized the Bible and found it to tie in exactly with the Book of Mormon as far as Doctorine and the timeline of it. I have never seen anyone know the Bible that well and it speaks volume to the Book of Mormons power as this man testified and bore witness to us of its truthfulness. He even ended up teaching us as well and he definitely has the gift of the discernment as he is able to interpret the Bible correctly with 0 lost doctrine as we were able to learn from each other. We read 1st Nephi 10, and Moroni 10 and he absolutely loved it so much. We taught him about Joseph Smith how a young boy had questions and prayed and saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ and that through the Gift of the spirit was able to translate the Book Of Mormon from reformed Egyptian to English in 60 days. Hee was like duh with the spirit of God you can do all things just as it says in the Bible and the Book Of Mormon. We were blown away by the faith and knowledge of this man as he bore testimony how he knew without a doubt that this Book is the word of God by the spirt that testified to him. Moroni 10:5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things My man was from Ghana so we just dapped him up and left for him to read more after the 2 and a half hour lesson we had(I couldn't escape he just kept testifying) Not only that we also gave away an Amharic Book of Mormon to a sweet single mother we were teaching and she was so grateful. The work of the lord is truly being preached to all nations kindred and tounges as she was from Ethiopia. Friday wow I am exhausted I fell asleep during my nightly prayers and woke up at like midnight on my knees and my back hurt. We had service in the morning and Elder tuala and I had a field Day I was just happy lol. We had a lesson with Donna at the nursing home and some weird church pulled up at the same time and they started preaching some weird Doctorine while holding a service. We were just in the corner reading the Book of Mormon and talking about charity It's funny because they gave us a program and tried to lure our member friend away to their service and they went off script during the service and started talking about false prophets and fire and brineston and the spirit just left and they were low-key looking at us the whole time. We just left the room and gave our friend a blessing of healing and comfort upon a prompting to do so. Being able to lay your hands upon someone's head having authority from Jesus Christ will never not be a spiritual experience. Each time I do so the heavens open.... Revelations and blessings pour out, even in crappy hospitals where life sucks...the spirit of the Lord becomes present. I have read the Book of Mormon with our friends more this week than any other week on my mission and each time the spirit was so strong. THE BOOK OF MORMON IS THE WORD OF GOD END OF THE STORY. In just this week I have seen miracles and felt the spirit of the Lord testify to me and every single person who opened the Book and read with us. Man Saturday was exhausted I was tired all day but God was still able to produce miracles. We started off the day by visiting a family who are converts to the church and we talked a lot on the Book of Mormon and prayer. There was one 10 year old girl she was so sweet she loved prayer so much she got super excited when we started talking about it and it was so tender. She was also incredibly excited to read scriptures. My companion and I then decided to go on a walking trail along the Potomac river and called and texted a bunch of people and it soon became a special experience. I have been teaching a friend from liberia over facebook video call since I havn't been able to connect him to missionaries there yet, and he called me. He mentioned his mother has fallen very ill and he has has no idea what to do. All of his family is far away and his father has passed due to illness and was part of his reasoning on not going to church anymore. He was on the verge of tears the whole time and mentioned he was very confused at life and with God and so as the spirit promoted, I taught him about the preisthood and preisthood blessings. I was able to get his contact information, call the missionaries in Libera, and set up a time on Sunday for the Elders to Give him and his mother a blessing at the temple grounds. Wow.. what a miracle. During that whole phonecall the spirit was so present. God's power is indeed on the earth today wow. Spiritual stuff aside something interesting that also happend during our contact session is our freind Daniel we called and he informed us he lost his Job because he accidentally burnt down the Popeyes he worked at we stopped by later that day and had a lesson with him it was pretty chill haha. Sunday my companion and I about died but it was great it's all apart of life to have bad days but besides all our appointments falling through and people flaking for church again we managed to get one less active to church we have been working with forever and he loved it. His family couldn't come cause their younger 11 year old boy was causing problems but we stopped by that night and had a great lesson. The kid got grounded mid lesson but besides that the parents are locked in on coming back to church and helping their son reading the Book of Mormon This week we didn't find very many new people, not a whole lot came to church, no members were available for lessons, butttt we saw miracles and we gave it our all. It's nice to know you gave your all to the lord and rest easy at night even while things aren't going to plan it's going the lords plan. The Book Of Mormon is the word of God, no doubt about it, uh uh no debates. I have seen to many miracles l, had to many questions answered, and have been able to feel the Holy Ghost testify to me as I read and felt that power!
