What up what up what up. This past week has been incredible my MTC experience is just about over I fly out tomorrow at 4 am for Washington DC! I already said goodbye to my amazing companion Elder Smith what a stud and an amazing first companion we clicked like none other proud to call him my friend it was very tender seeing him go just like that The gospel of Jesus Christ really does bring joy in people's lives and creates lasting relationships with those around you and I've gotten pretty close to my district. Shoutout to Elder Smith, Elder Wilkey, Sister Brushke (sister bruh) Sister Vargas (sister gas) Sister Hammond (sister ham) Sister Brady (sister brad) Elder Childs, Elder Astle, Elder Fackrell, Elder Johnson, Elder Jackson, Elder Wilson. They are all studs.
Earlier last week during one of work shops one guy just randomly stood up in the middle and shouted "YOU CANT MAKE RANCH WITHOUT MAYO" as if he were making a statement or something and our district turned it into an inside joke and it has been pretty funny he's like a celebrity at the MTC now There are some crazy kids here at the MTC you wouldn't believe it I've heard rumors of people pooping in boxes and what not as if they were preparing for when they are going third world where they won't have plumbing.
Jokes aside this past week I have had some of the most spiritual and sacred experiences in my life whether in the temple or devotionals or even the classroom and I can testify he is risen. I had the opportunity to give the sisters a blessing upon request my companions and I and with permission from the branch president and it'll be something I'll probably never forget. The amount of love heavenly father has for each of us is something I cannot even comprehend. While giving those blessings I felt the spirit so strong I almost passed out and my whole body was shaking my companion thought something was wrong with me Later that night I remember writing in my journal "Remember the knee shakers"
2nd Nephi chapter 4 Book of Mormon
16 Behold, my soul delighteth in the things of the Lord; and my heart pondereth continually upon the things which I have seen and heard
34 O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.
35 Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen
