Wow what a Wednesday! 10-7-2024

Monday was pretty good for P-day we just played basketball in the inner-city got a fresh cut and ate some good stuff not much happening

Tuesday we had the most out of pocket lesson ever it was low-key an L day I don't even know what happened  first off we didn't have district council so it threw off our whole day and we ended up meeting someone named miss juicy that was fun haha but what was actually wild was our lesson with Marqui so Marqui super cool guy been reading the Book Of Mormon and praying with us called us up and we had a lesson with him. We shared a scripture in Moroni and the word Israel was mentioned and he just starting ranting about 5 percenters and the Hebrew Israelites and started warning us about them and he just went off about it forever. Bro pulled up a YouTube video of them bashing random Christians off the street and he was just rambling. Then bro starting talking about Gay propaganda and how everything is Gay now and he just kept going on he started off the lesson accidently saying the S word and then catching himself, and apologizing to just saying "Gay sh.. Gay Sh.. Gay sh.." then bro starting talking about public PDA and how people just be doing crazy stuff on the streets and needless to say the lesson got out of hand so quick, definitely won't forget that one.
Ya'll Wednesday was hype I'm just gonna straight up say it as is. Although it was hype it was still sad due to it being our last Wednesday with the Martin's. That morning we had Red Cross service as always but it also happened to be Rosh-Hashana which is a Jewish holiday celebrating a new year! This year according to Judaism is year 5285 since creation and we had the privilege of celebrating it with Rabbi Brown who is a Chaplin for the U.S. military along with other military personal at the Fort Belvoir chapel. We ate apples with honey bread and grape juice it was bussss. Rabbi Brown even pulled out the Torah(ancient Jewish Hebrew scripture) it was so cool check out the Google photos. It was also a spiritual experience because everyone got to go around the room and share with what we are going to work on for the new year and everyone was so genuine and everyone was from different faiths and it brought in the spirit of love. Besides all of that happening on Wednesday we had a buss lunch as always at the hospital and later for dinner came back to Fort Belvoir for a Red Cross BBQ and got to hang out and socialize with all of the service to armed forces volunteers. Literally the most w day ever. We even had a good lesson with Dominique who is growing her faith so much and is excited for when she gets baptized!
Thursday we had some mini miracles. We ran into our friend Nick who came to church last Sunday. We knocked his door after a mighty prayer and bro happened to be home at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon. He informed us that it was unusual for him to be home and we let him know about conference and he committed to watching so hypeeee.
Thursday night we also had our last Book Of Mormon class with Elder and Sister Martin and it will forever be a core memory. They are so precious to me and I have got to know them pretty well these past couple months and they have such a strong testimony of our savior Jesus Christ and his wonderful plan for all of us.  It's so funny because every now and then Elder Martin will either talk about the military or how he goes to the same gym as the apostles and lives next to the Prophet and goes to church with them on occasion and it's always a blast listening to their stories and experiences serving 4 missions as a couple one of which was in Fiji I am going to miss them a lot. They said to call then after the mission and pull up to downtown salt Lake and they would take me out to dinner so I am already making plans for when I get back two years from now.
Friday was amazing we had zone conference and the theme for the transfer was "The Character of Christ" the mission is awesome because I get to draw closer to him each and every day as I get align my will with The Fathers and yoke myself to the savior by keeping covenants I have made and internalizing his infinite atonement each day as I exercise my faith in him.  Words can't describe how true this Gospel is and how I feel each time I feel the spirit as I teach, testify, and am edified by leaders called by God such as my mission president, The Prophet, and all of his apostles...The best part is I get to act on that spirit and apply it in missionary work. After zone conference we get a text from our friend Stephanie who has been through it all since our last lesson with her on the restoration 7 weeks ago. We havn't been able to meet with her but little by little the Lord has been in her life and I felt prompted to call her. I did just that and she answered for the first time ever and we had a w phone call lesson and she committed to watching Conference this Sunday and put it in her calender and set up a visit with us Monday. I am so excited for her I love her so much. Before the mission I would have never talked to her ever. I put that aside 7 weeks ago and talked to her and grew to love her as Jesus Christ loves each and every one of us. How special is that.
We also ran into that young family again and they are so awesome my heart is full every time we see them. One of the little kids always runs up to us and give us a hug and it's so cute. The other will always beg for us to talk about Jesus and then all of them will beg to go with us every time we have to leave.
Saturday was so chill we got 10 people confirmed for conference Sunday morning and we watched all three sessions and different member homes and got fed some good stuff. Plus the talks were amazing throughout.
Sunday was pretty chill met a brother from Africa and we got some friends watching Conference.  We even got a recent convert who fell off the face of the earth watch all 4 sessions Saturday and Sunday and she absolutely loved it. We also left a picture of Jesus during the second coming I brought with me from Arkansas and attached it to a door signed for a little girl who's family we are teaching because she absolutely loves Jesus. I felt like a sister missionary for a second haha. I'm not gonna lie General conference was awesome..President Nelson's Prophetic talk gave me some chills the heavens were quite literally open I'm spiritually exhausted between zone conference and General conference but it's all good stuff.

Don't worry about me ya'll I'm getting fed every other day and my apartment is full of food just worry about me getting fat still haven't gained weight but pray for me.
Shoutout to my Brother Dallin for completing his two year mission In the Spokane Washington area and all who came to the airport to support him also little shoutout to everyone who reaches out to me on messenger or email.
(I will only respond on email but I see your messages)

"Having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people" Revelations 14:6 go listen to president Nelson's talk and know what this scripture means
