Aye where my P-day at? 8-22-2024
This week (almost two weeks have been absolutely wild from registering to the red cross on Fort Belvoir (a huge military post not a lot of people are able to get on) all the way from back to back exchanges, sick days for my comp, dinner with members finally, and flat tires (shoutout to padre for teaching me my comp had no idea how to change a flat) We have just been going going going.
We have one friend named John who's been through a lot and is going through a lot and he is so close to accepting our invitation to be baptized but is so depressed that sometimes he won't let the spirit enter his life which is so sad to see but he is the nicest Guy and I love him so much so just pray for him.
I LOVEEE Wednesdays let me tell you why...Every Wednesday we are on Fort Belvoir doing red cross service with the senior missionaries who are military relations which is super cool. They have served 4 missions together from Fiji, Salt Lake and as military relations in DC south which basically there job is to build relationships with the US military and through that the church is growing so much without even proselytizing and it's incredible to see how the Lords work is hastening. Besides that on Wednesday's we also serve beside Elder Young and Elder Tuala. They are studs and it's so fun and afterwards we go to this military hospital with literally the best food ever. They cook the food fresh for you and it's so cheap. For example customized homemade pizza under 4 bucks. Double bacon cheeseburger four bucks. Fresh tilapia 3 bucks. You wouldn't believe it probably the cheapest place in America but you have to have military access to eat there and every Wednesday the military relations missionaries pay for our meals and I be eating 2000 calories in one sitting, then we have district council which is always a w right after that. W Wednesdays'.
Last week on Wednesday after district council we went on a district exchange and I got to drive and got the Sim. Thank goodness cause I love my comp to death but his driving ain't that great. So I led out the area and it was awesome we saw some success and had fun. Later that night we drove to the zone leaders apartment stayed the night and had another exchange back to back and I got to lead out my area again. I was with elder Banner who is 22 months in his mission and he hyped me up said I was doing great and we found some new friends together and he was cool enough to have me lead out everything and it was so fun. My companion is headed home this transfer he has to have surgery which has been hard for him so keep him in your prayers.
There is a big chance I'll be leading out my area next transfer so pray for me I'm trying my best and have grown so much this past week and a half having to go nonstop without a P-day and figuring out how to continue steadfast with desire and commitment. I had the opportunity to go on another exchange with my district leader in his area and it was awesome. He actually gave me advice and corrected me on stuff that has benefited me already and he hyped me up as well.
This mission is the best mission in the world I feel blessed to be here and I know I was called to serve here at this time. I know the lord is aware of each of us. I miss Elder Gus Murray so much and my fam and the Murray clan but I am reminded of them in tender ways throughout the days. Everywhere I go I get to talk to someone from Ghana or Liberia Africa and it's so cool it's like my Liberian buddy is with me in spirit all the time as we serve people from the same country. The other day I found mulberry jam in my fridge from the other missionaries and that gave me a laugh shoutout to dad. The other night I stayed at a Missionary apartment on a members property and they had an American flag and a trump flag so granted it reminded me of the Murray's shoutout to them(happy birthday to Ila and Connor) Every time I see a pretty house I be like I know my mom is jealous right now.
I just got back from the D.C temple it was absolutely stunning God is great his work is moving forward in ways that just blows my mind. I found two people on Facebook one in Kakata Liberia and the other in the Philippines and the one in the Philippines is progressing and ready the book of Mormon and now I'm tight with the Elders in the Philippines
God loves each of us take some time and take a moment and ponder on how he in your lives each day. Stay Sweet email me back or something and shoutout to Clint Patterson bro got his call to serve the lord for two years in December.
Go read 3rd Nephi chapter 17 in the book of Mormon for me
Stay sweet Elder Williams
(Also I have the best mission in the world)
